Marcie Finney DittoFounder of Mustard Seed JEWELRY™
Have you ever been given a vision, that you know was The Lord’s calling for you life but no idea how to cultivate it, and in your heart of hearts you knew it was so much bigger than you? This happened to me, this is the story of the faithfulness of the mustard seed and how God’s and his love delivered my true calling in life.

As a child, I had the blessing of watching my grandfather, make amazing jewelry and over time developed a deep appreciation for the power of a well-designed adornment. I spent almost 20 years of my life as a graphic artist. Little did I know that the Lord would ask me to adjust everything I was taught as a graphic design, to set it all down and start designing jewelry. I had practiced silent prayer for over 15 years in my life, 1 hour a day. About 12 years ago in prayer The Lord gave me a vision of a complete and finished Mustard Seed Jewelry piece. Being the artist I was at the time, I sketched it out and prayed. I thought to myself, “What do you have in store with this Lord, surely you don’t mean for me to create this, I’m NOT a jeweler.”

But, the promise was in the small, powerful message of the mustard seed, and I had to reaffirm my faith in life’s early inspiration in order to move the dream forward. I saw it clearly: a fashionable, visually stunning jewelry piece that evoked the essence of Christ’s mustard seed example. I prayed daily for my hands to be moved profoundly to accomplish this big vision; and, for Mustard Seed Jewelry to be able to give back in radically generous ways. No small “mountain” was before me. Several sketch books later, and 3 years later. Yes, 3 years to protype the very first piece and to prayerfully lean on Him to guide and teach me how make jewelry.

In August of 2015 Mustard Seed Jewelry was born. Today I’m still just as anxious as ever to leap out of bed everyday and create for the creator. In a year’s time I’ve made almost 10,000 pieces by hand and donated 30% of my income to local charities. We’ve raised over 57,000 in one year alone. The power of prayer, clinging to faith and obedience has been my mustard seed.
